Short answers to what members ask most. The detail on value and impact lives on How we value.
Ask us something else01What is Sage?
Sage Circle is an invite-only app for selling, buying and donating pre-loved designer clothing. Photograph a piece, see what it's worth, and offer it privately to members at your price.
02How do I join Sage?
By invitation from a member, or by requesting one on this site. Each member has three invitations to give.
03How does Sage know what my clothes are worth?
From three photos, Sage reads the brand, size, fabric and condition. It then looks at what comparable pieces have recently sold for and shows you a value range, not a single price.
How we value04What is the environmental score?
An estimate out of 100 of how much good a piece can still do: its fibre, its condition, the wear it has left, and the impact avoided by wearing it again instead of buying new. It is an estimate, not a certification.
How we value05Can I sell clothes without listing them?
Yes. Pieces you keep unlisted can still match what members ask for. Sage asks you first, and you decide the price.
06Will buyers see my closet or my name?
No. Buyers see the piece, never whose it is or what else you own. Sellers never see who bought it.
07How are prices set?
The owner sets the price. Sage suggests a range from comparable recent sales and the condition of the piece, and you pick a point in it or set your own. Members buy at that price; there are no offers and no haggling.
How we value08Can I donate a piece instead?
Yes. Choose Donate it and Sage arranges the drop-off, with a receipt that already shows what the piece is worth.
09How does delivery work?
A tracked courier collects the piece from the seller and delivers it to the buyer. Neither side sees the other's address.
10When do sellers get paid?
Sage pays the seller once the piece has been delivered.
11What does Sage cost?
Joining is free. Sage takes a small fee only when a piece sells.
12Where is Sage available?
Sage is opening with twenty founding members, and will grow by invitation.
