How we value
Real sales,
not guesses.
Every piece Sage reads gets two numbers before you decide anything: what it's worth today, and how much good it can still do. Here is how each one is built.
The value range
What it's worth, today.
A range built from what comparable pieces have recently sold for, adjusted for the condition of yours.

- 01
Comparable recent sales
Pieces like yours: the same brand and kind of piece, in a similar size and condition, that have actually sold recently.
- 02
The condition, from your photos
Sage reads wear from the three photos and you confirm it. Better condition moves the range up; a flaw moves it down.
- 03
A range, not a single price
You see where most pieces like it sell, and how far the range runs either side. Then you choose a point in it, or set your own.
- 04
You set the price
Members buy at the price you set. No offers, no haggling, nobody asking for half.
The environmental score
Value and impact, side by side.
An estimate out of 100 of how much good a piece can still do. Four things, each out of 25, simply added up.
Fibre21/25
How long the fibre lasts, and how it ages. Wool and linen score higher than a light blend.
Condition19/25
What Sage read from your photos. It moves when the condition changes.
Wear left19/25
How much more wear the piece likely has in it.
Vs new18/25
The impact avoided by wearing it again instead of buying new, from published averages for the fibre.

Estimate · not a certification. It is Sage's own estimate, not a rating from any certifying body, and it changes when the condition changes.
